I'M LOOKING FOR ANYONE THAT HAS A VIBRATION ON ACCEL LIKE MINE DOES. IT WILL NOT
COME IN UNTIL OVER 50 MPH ON SLIGHT ACCEL. FEEL LIKE THE MOTOR MOUNT GROUNDING TO FRAME.
TRIED CHECKING BELT ALIGN AND TENSION. WITH THE BIKE OFF THE GROUND HAS SOME TIRE OUT
OF ROUND. ON CRUISE FLAT GROUND NO PROBLEM. LET ME KNOW SPYDER 113

Same with my Spyder. I have a vibration at aroud the same speed. Not a heavy vibration but I can feel it at that speed. I don't feel it at other speed. By the way at that speed I am on 5 gear and cruising. I have 350 miles. At 200 hundred miles the Spyder went in limp mode. After diagnose needed a new BRAIN.
My vibration is from about 67 to 69 MPH in top gear, same vibration in 4th, at corresponding lower speeds, same RPM. Much more noticeable with very light throttle - if I accelerate with a bit more throttle this vibration is hardly noticeable.
Same issue with mine, but I notice it at 5500-6000RPM, it's like the torque is kicking in some vibration power-band. I never even noticed what speed I am going, but I am in 5th gear. I believe that it happens at that RPM range no matter if I am in 4th or 5th. I will have to take a better look at it next time. It can get on the nerves some times, but I just keep riding. It seems that with 10 years in the making they would have noticed this problem, or even with all the demo rides.
I have this exact same thing, I figured it was just a flat spot in the power band, If i stay in fourth it seems better but you can still get it to do it, but If you lug around in 5th at this speed/rpm you hit the spot alot where it vibrates.
I feel the same vibration. Seems to happen in 5th gear, 55-65 mph when I try to accelerate. If I look at my hands the movement from vibration is very noticeable.
There's definitely a band where it gets worse as the RPMs increase. I would think you should be able to accelerate slowly from 60mph in 5th gear without the serious vibration no?
Got mine back from its first service yesterday and the vibration is gone. Nice. Now, however, my Hindle pops a lot on decel. It popped some before but MUCH more now. Wonder what could have caused this from what they did? Any thoughts on this? It's my understanding pops on decel are from running too rich, in which case wouldn't the O2 mod (which I just ordered) make it even worse? Thanks--
The tech was out when I picked it up so I didn't get a chance to ask questions. From the paperwork it looks like they did make some adjustments to the belt so that was probably it.
Yep......I have vibration.....kicks in at 68 mph.......leaves at 72 mph!! It feels like drive belt harmonics....... my belt tension and belt alignment is okay......my vibes just started at 950 miles on the odometer
I have a vibration in mine too. At 73 -75 mph Working on car it feels like driveline vibration. It feels like the belt vibrating. I can drive through and it goes away. Going to order belt tool and check tension on belt
While on the factory tour at Homecoming, one of the engineers talked about this. He stated that this is a "normal" situation with the Spyder. It is from the belt that you are feeling the vibs, it happens around 5000 rpm to 5300 rpm under slight acceleration and is not considered to be a "problem" by BRP.
I did notice this on my
on the ride to the factory as the long "snake of
's expanded and contracted. This was the first time I had noticed it.
One way to avoid it is to accelerate harder thru this rpm range. It will not occur under hard accel.
