Just got back from Hatfield and the 'gade is not doing so well. On our last ride of the day, as I let off the throttle going down a hill, I felt it bog down like it lost power. I got back on the throttle and it would barely run and then stalled going up a small hill. It didn't want to start without throttle. But I finally got it started and it is running very rough and has no power. Seems like it only running on one cylinder, lots on unburnt fuel smell coming from the exhaust. Nursed it back to camp and packed up for the ride home. I haven't had a chance to look at anything. Any ideas where to start.

No limp mode indicated on the display. And I've never had it go into limp mode but it certainly felt like it. I'm going to give it a real good cleaning and then start with the plugs.

I would also check your air filter and throttle body, maybe even stick your tank and check for dirt, you could of just got some bad gas down there. For now, change the plugs, air filter and syphon all the old fuel and put fresh gas and stabilizer, run it and see what happens, then go from there. Check RAD for mud and dirt and your coolant levels.

i have an outer wear over my cvt intake, on one ride at Hatfield it didn't seem to dusty but the cover was covered in dust and it had the same reaction you stated above.

Well now that I'm not sitting on a unmarked trail in the dark, in WV, I have better info. It only starts with throttle. And it is ideling way too high, about 2800 rpms. If I give it much throttle, above 1/3, it will stumble and die. Also has a very strong odor of unburned fuel from the exhaust. Hopefully will be able to start checking stuff tonight. Also been told it may be an air leak on the intake.

wow, the idle is high.. usually the idle is preset in the machine... maybe an injector went out on it, Chia??

it really sucks when you have to do all this trouble shooting to try to find what it is.. but the brite side is that you will find it eventually and then we will all be wiser as to what it was..

Yep it is very high. I can't shift it because it so high. Have to turn it off to shift it and even in when in gear it is at about 1700-1800 rpms and the bike starts moving. It literally went instantly. We were running fast in the woods, I let off the throttle coming down a hill, and when I tried to get back into the throttle it was done.
