2019 HD8 belt slipping, clutch questions

New to CanAm, father in law picked up a 2019 HD8, and I’m pretty sure he smoked the belt.

It was definitely slipping but didn’t look too bad when I took it off. Can you visibly tell a belt is shot?

There was also a rattle when coming to a stop. Doesn’t rattle when spinning clutch but did when it was compressed with clutch tool. I was thinking broken roller, but any way to see without taking clutch apart?

Any good belts other than OEM for these machines (better than OEM hopefully)?

No missing bits, but he got good and stuck a couple of weeks ago and it started squealing after that.

Visibley it looks ok but looks like they can glaze over if overheated?

i have some calipers. Will see what that shows

I’ll check out the Gates. That’s what I use on my Jeeps.

Thanks for the response! Any ideas on the rattle I'm hearing from the secondary clutch? I've seen that rollers tend to break in these machines. It will rattle when rolling to a stop sometimes, and when I had the belt tool compressing the secondary clutch and spun the clutch it had a rattle. Doesn't do it with the clutch not compressed.
