New to the forum and can am atv’s. I bought a 650 outty that didn’t run, supposedly the PO stored the atv for the winter went to get it out and it wouldn’t start. The real story is he must have sunk it in water because the air filter, intake tube, throttle body, top of both pistons, valves, and exhaust pipes where left with sand/dirt in them. I tore everything apart cleaned everything even the heads. I removed the valves, I mean cleaned everything, and now I’m in the process of installing the new cylinders and pistons. But here’s the problem I’m running into, the new wrist pins are to big for the connecting rod. Here’s my question can I remove the brass sleeve that’s inside the connecting rod? If I did that the new pin will fit but I dunno if this is right and being that I’m new to can am atvs I felt it would behoove me talk to some people me in the know than me.
