What do you do for a living??

I remember this thread being pretty popular on dootalk so lets give it a try... just give your job title and a brief explanation of what you do.. its pretty interesting to see what our fellow riders do, and gives young riders like me another way to open their eyes to the many different jobs out there that i might not even know about yet.. im in that time in my life where im finishing up my associates in criminal justice and am also taking a landscaping and motorcycle repair technician course and trying to decide whether i should get a job at a local pd or maybe get a 4 year degree... im currently employed at a wal mart distribution center in johnstown, ny and dont get me wrong it pays good for being in college, but defiantely is not a career option for me..

I am a firefighter on one of North Americas finest fire departments, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. The fighting 3.
What's up everybody? I am a correctional officer for the state of Iowa during the day and a volunteer firefighter in my free time. Keeps me pretty busy! Lookin at 850 calls this year, so always goin somewhere!
Accountant and Co-Owner of two hot dip galvanizing plants. One in Edmonton, Alberta and the other in Saskatoon, SK Canada. Going on 41 yrs old and already looking forward to retirement so I can do lots of riding.
Security Supervisor at a Nuclear Generating Station. Oversee the daily operations of the site Security Force and assist management with the implementation of the Nuclear Security Protection Program. I aslo when needed or directed operate in the postion of Security Shift Supervisor(Position above mine) and Security Lead(Postion directly below me)
BioMechanical Engineer for a medical device company. Mainly artificial disc for the spine. I design and oversee manufacturing of the parts and go to surgeries once in a while to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Crappy part of the job is testing out the parts in cadavers (dead bodies).
Technology Consultant by day for one of the worlds largest banks... and volunteer firefighter by night ! I would do it full time if they paid a bit more to run into a burning building and pull people out hah
Asst. Athletic Director and Fitness Center manager. Also do Credit Card Merchant Services on the side. If you know anyone who owns a business and needs credit card services, I'm your guy!
I am a Field QA/QC Manager for a wind turbine construction company. I manage concrete mix's, rebar installation, bar projection - the rods that hold the turbine down by tensioning, Engius concrete data recording, receiving of components, erection process, daily tooling calibration, tooling maintenance, tower torqueing, blade stabbing - to the hub of all 3 blades for the rotor assembly, final pre-walk downs mechanical and Final walkdowns with Owners and Owners rep. All of this with no college degree, all hands on trained and a mechanical ability. I usually have 3 assistants under myself, but have done it all before. Busy days in the field to spend the rest of the night doing paperwork and e-mails. There is alot of other things but I'd just bore everyone, but have some great pics all over the U.S.

currently own a small business, electric forklift technician and part time volenteer internet cruiser.
All these high $$$ jobs and I am going to be broke.
I am going to college to be a Math teacher and coach.

Wastewater operator in Michigan. Before that I was a supervisor at a paintball plant for 10 years.
Apprenticing with my dads Construction Company. We do custom built residential homes. We use the insulated concrete forming systems for walls, much better and energy effecient than framing!! Much cheaper in the long run. The house were doing now is 7000sq feet!!!!

I guess I need to update mine.
I got a promotion and transfer to our sister plant. I am now the QC/LAB Manager. I oversee 4 lab techs that do the daily testing, and 2 chemical eng. who assist in the process improvement and problem solving of our production facility.
We make pool chemicals and industrial cleaners/sanitizers.
Airframe and Powerplant technician , work as supervisor at a Repair Overhaul facility on Pneumatic valves, ACM's, Starters, PDU's and Cdu's and electrical vaves on Aircraft Customers include all the major airlines and overseas carriers. Before entering in for A&P license I was in the Air Force working as a Aircraft Egress systems supervisor on F-16's and RF4c's. ( Ejection seats and canopies). Four wheelers and dirtbikes go together to ride all year along with seadoo's during the summer, Not enough snow in Texas or I'd be on a ski-doo also !
I have a case of "Can Am" fever, spend my morning time playing stock markets, and attending buying / selling / fixin / rebuilding Can Am 800's. , and attending various auto / salvage / insurance auctions looking for new toys. In the past I spent many years working as a corporate spy for major oil and gas companies doing classified exploration work.
I am a Customer Service Engineer III. ooh, I have been working on bank equipment for the past 23 years. I travel all over my home state repairing/installing equipment. I work on atm's, alarms/video, pnuematic systems(tube systems) audio systems,drive up drawers. I also work on vaults, safe deposit locks and all other types of locks. Learned electronics in the Air Force. Was a Microwave wideband telecommunications specialist. Grew up on a farm, so I learned how to fix stuff with bailling wire and a big hammer. Jack of all trades master of none.
