They probably had the battery disconnected.. which will reset the mixture settings that your Spyder has 'learned'.
When you install the O2 mod.... disconnect the battery for 20 minutes... and then give it some time to learn....
Should be fine.
Did they say what the vibration was from??

Sure you're not luggin the engine being in 5th at a low speed?
What is your RPM at?
I rarely hit 5th gear until 80.....
This engine really likes to run above 6,000 rpms.....
