I looked on my can ham today and the rear axle boot is torn. Not the cv joint (I've done been through one of those) but the rubber boot on the drive train leaving the tranny. It was barely cut and full of grease so i dont think i need to replace the joint just the boot. The dealer told me $250 and i ordered the boot kit for $10 off some website, what a load! I was just wondering if anybody knows how to change the boot. I think i just need to take the bolt off under the u-joint on the side toward the motor.
If anybody else knows what to do i would greatly appreciate it. Why does can am make outlander boots so crappy? this is my second one and only 40 hrs on the machine, my front one looks like it could go next.

In order to get the rear drive shaft out you have to remove the rear brake caliper, then unbolt and move the rear diff back.
