I was thinking of taking a trip this summer and I am trying to find a good park to go to in the central illinois area. Only problem is there aren't any (that I know of). Has anyone rode at The Cliffs is it really as insane as advertised? or should I just go to the badlands in indiana that is a shorter drive.

Ive been to the Badlands many times quite a few years ago. It's a really nice and diverse place to go. Never been to Cliffs but have heard through the Jeep forums that it is a TON of mud and ruts. Just my .02.

I know this is late but the Cliffs are good for a half day ride. I really like to go after a good rain and ride the mud holes.

Badlands are better for a full day ride. But, just the opposite, I would go when the weather is decent.
