Just checking if anyone here had wire harness problems burning. I have a 2021 outlander max 1000 from new battery was going dead though it was a bad battery so I replaced it with a new one. One evening when my wife went out in the garage the lights were on went out shut them off though nothing more of it but then over time been noticing light coming on again and then battery going dead. After this all happened then the instrument cluster was lighting up and staying on and only way I could get it go off was unhook battery. No warranty I took it to dealership and 2 harnesses burnt and ecm bad won't show speed only show 0. Wondering if anyone here had same problems and cam am manufacturer took care of it I like get some feedback cause I have the dealership where I bought it from do up case and send it to manufacturer see if they replace it thanks in advance

if the speed sensor goes out it can cause some funky issues with electrical, like the dash not working or showing the wrong mph/rpm, dps going out intermittently, engine shutting off and ecm connection problems. but i don't see it burning up a wiring harness. I would check for unprotected wires rubbing and a short some where, that would explain a burnt harness. when i was checking my wire harness on a rebuild i found several wires that were almost all the way worn through, i replaced alot of the zip ties with tape and added more wire loom o the areas that had the possibility of rubbing.

At the dealership 2 harnesses melted in the connectors they replaced them and after I got to use it I notice speedometer wasn't working staying on 0 and not adding on kms bought it back to dealer though they may have not connected speed sensor but was connected. They tried new speed sensor and new instrument cluster and still wouldn't work so now they have ordered a new ecm thinks it that I hope BRP steps in and pays the bill
