If there is another thread that covers this please forgive me, but does anyone know why my fuse (ignition) keeps blowing?
I have a 2006 outlander 400.
Every time I turn the ignition key on it blows. No instrument cluster and no lights.
I have taken the ignition switch apart and cleaned it. If I disconnect the harness to the ignition switch, I am able to jump wire between the constant and the lights and they work fine. But the second I put power to the other contact, BAM, the instrument panel flickers for a millisecond and the 20amp fuse blows.
The main fuse in the rear is fine, all other fuses up front are fine. Just the one fuse bridging the red main and red and purple wires blows.
Any ideas?
Thanks ahead of time!!
