DS 90 Electric Start - No Key?

I am admittedly very new to the 4 wheeler scene. I bought a 2007 DS90 (four stroke) for my girls, which was used. It runs great with the kickstarter, and I didn't even know it used to have the option for electric start (like I said I'm an idiot so I'll save you the effort of flaming on me and admit it from the start LOL!).

Anyways, once I understood that I asked the guy I bought it from and he said they had lost the keys so they just always kick started it. But when it's cold it takes about 100 kicks to get it going, so I figured I could mess around with the ignition to bypass the key (connect the wires so that it's in the "ON" position all the time and then maybe add a toggle button so it doesn't drain the battery).

Well, now I've messed with the wires that went to the ignition (6 of them - red, green, yellow, blue, and 2 blacks) and can't get any of them to work the electric start. And since I don't know if it ever worked, I don't know if it's the battery or what. And since this thing has no lights or anything, I don't know why it even has 6 wires in there? Doesn't it just need 2 of them to connect in order to power the electric start button?

Anyways, can I order a whole new ignition that has the key, ignition and wiring harness (because it just plugs into another set of wires at a white harness.

Flame on my friends! LOL! I'm a fool I know! But maybe I can learn something about how these things work.

Never mind. I played around with all the wires (a little trial and error for a bit LOL) and have the electric start running! If any of you run into this same problem, let me know and I'll enlighten you.

Now I just need to go get a switch to open/close the circuit so it doesn't drain the battery (to simulate "off" with a key).

So much better than kickstarting this thing LOL!

Buy a whole new key set. It is only like $30 or $40 and comes with 2 keys.
