New to the outlander max and was wondering how deep of water i can go through with out a snorkle. How high is my intake.

Both intakes, airbox and CVT intake are just above the front left wheel. Take a look and you will see them. Even if the water is not up to their level, if you are splashing around, water usually will get into your CVT and cause belt slippage. If you like playing in the water, at the very minimum you should upgrade the CVT intake to the new style.

if your quad is an '07, i think most here will agree that the stock CVT intake is really a water scoop that directs water into your trans if you just go over wet ground at speed. haha

if you go slow, and have traction i went through very deep water and thought it was fine, but i was doing water wheelies through the deeper stuff.

then an idenical quad as mine went through and filled the trans with muddy water. they said it eventually cost 'em almost $1000 to get it right again.? that was all i needed and mine was snorked and i maintain a tightly sealed and lubed everything. no problems with my '07. and i've been in over the seat many, many times.
