Hey guys so I just bought a 19’ Rene 1000 it has 32” nators on it and I changed the tie rods to the all balls HD ones. I’ve bent them before on previous bikes. SO I had the front two tires in air and before I took them off I spun them and it was making a clicking as the tires turned. Sounded like the diff... buddy put in a torq locker. But I don’t remember them doing this... is this a bad noise? BTW the 4x4 was not engaged. Thanks guys!

With the front end up in the air and the front driveshaft in "4wd".
Rotate both wheels forward and they should both lock.
Now while holding one wheel forward, rotate the other backwards. The backwards one should rotate and a clicking noise should be heard.
Repeat this procedure with the other wheel and it should be the same.
Next, rotate both wheels backwards and they should both lock.
Hold one wheel backwards and you should be able to rotate the other wheel forward with a clicking noise heard.
Repeat this procedure with the other wheel and it should be the same.

With the driveshaft in 2wd, either side of the Torq locker can ratchet but you won't know which side.
If you follow the earlier procedure, you can diagnose which side has an issue if there is one.
