This is a blast email, the first one ever by NHOHVA, to all members asking for your help if you are available.

I am not sure that you are aware but Senate Bill 521, the OHRV Club Incentive Bill, passed the Senate last Thursday and has now been sent over to the House of Representatives. The first hearing in this process will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 1:00 pm in LOB Room 305 by the House Resources, Recreation and Development Committee.

We would like as many of our members to attend this hearing as possible. We are not asking you to speak at the hearing, we are just asking you to come and show solidarity. When you arrive at the hearing, there will be a signup sheet to enter your name, affiliation, and whether or not you support the bill. Once again, we are not asking you to speak on the bill.

This type of support has a significant impact on our Legislators. If we could get a large turnout, fifty plus, it would be awesome in helping to usher this bill through the House of Representatives.

SB 521, the club incentive bill

We have some very exciting news to report to you, news that we weren't sure we would be moving ahead with. All our ability to move ahead has been a direct result of your response to our previous requests - Concord listens when people speak. This past Tuesday, the House resources, recreation and development committee voted 17 to 2 to recommend passage of SB 521, the club incentive bill by the house. We truly are in the final stretch of seeing the club incentive bill becoming law. However, the challenges ahead are significant. There are 400 members within the House of Representatives and they come from a variety of backgrounds with very little knowledge of our sport. Most have no idea how the sport is funded and that it is self-funded. Later this weekend or the first of the week we will be putting out an appeal to all clubs and their members to contact any representatives that they know and or obviously the ones within their area or district.

A club incentive bill...A call for support from NHOHVA members / supporters.

This a blast email, the second one ever by NHOHVA, to its membership asking for your help.

The response to our first blast email was overwhelmingly positive in that we believe that the many contacts that you made with the House Resources, Recreation, and Development Committee did make a significant difference in getting the Bill this far. We applaud your efforts. So what is next.

Senate Bill 521, the OHRV Club Incentive Bill, has already passed the Senate, thanks in a large part to all of you. The House Resources, Recreation, and Development Committee voted this past Tuesday 17 to 2 to recommend to the House of Representatives an ought to pass at this coming Wednesday's General Assembly.

Here's what you can do to help. Contact your Representative(s) in your town. How do I do that? Go to the following link, http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/members/wml.aspx type in the town you live in, and the name of your Representative(s) will be displayed. Click on the name and all the contact information for that Representative will be displayed.

Then the most important step - reach out to your Representative(s) and ask them to support SB 521, the OHRV Club Incentive Bill, when it comes up for a vote at this Wednesday's General Assembly.

All OHRVers appreciate your effort. Remember, most Representatives rarely hear from their constituents, so a single phone call could make the difference, and that could be you. Thank you.
