Hello 2019 and 2020 NHOHVA Members!

Spring is rapidly approaching, and the legislative season is winding down so it’s time to look forward to getting out on our machines and enjoying the trails opening in May! Unlike last year’s delayed opening anyway! Please consider rejoining a club today, if you haven’t already, this will help the clubs prepare for trail maintenance, the upcoming Grant in Aid season, along with keeping up on the events happening in 2020!

NHOHVA has been at the forefront of the legislative battles watching 21+ bills in Concord over the future of OHRVing in the state. Thank you to anyone who reached out to your legislators when requested. HB 1165 (the bill to Close the Rail Trail in Gorham) has been TABLED by a vote of 208-69! If it doesn’t get taken off the table in the next few weeks and pass by 2/3 majority the bill dies! Your involvement has been crucial in keeping legislation on track. Thank you again for contacting your reps when called upon!!

There has been a lot of negativity and false accusations against the recreation of OHRVs. We all know how much this activity brings happiness and lasting memories to families, friends and all the different groups of riders. NHOHVA is looking for your pictures and videos showing just how much pleasure OHRV riding brings to all demographics and abilities. Please send any action shots (with protective gear, helmets, eye protection, gloves and long sleeves) or any still machine(s) shots showing the positive attributes of the sport and riders enjoying themselves!

NHOHVA affiliate clubs are always looking for volunteers for many aspects to keep their clubs functioning. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your club and inquire about volunteering!  Different types of help other than trail maintenance are Club Officers, office duties, PR work, event coordination, fund raising, Trail Patrol, ect. Please consider volunteering today!

The new NH OHRV Registration season starts May 1st and from then on your registrations will expire on April 30th of each year.  Plan ahead and always remember that mud season is a great time to join your clubs to show the support where you ride! Please encourage all your friends and family who ride to join a club or volunteer!

All photos and videos sent will signify permission for NHOHVA to use these images for positive imagery and promoting the recreation of OHRVs only.

Thank you!
