Looking into buying a Renegade 800 2008 model so its the HO engine. The engine is knocking, and I have a donor 800R engine sitting in the garage doing nothing, but I dont want to mess with fuel tuning, etc. Is there way way to make this plug and play as far as the ecm is concerned? Everything else would be a direct swap.  Didnt know if there was an economocal way to make this work, or if its more money that rebuilding the stock 800HO?

I believe you would need a ecu out of a 09'+ 800r if you dont want to run a tuner.

Well I know the tuning is different for the 09+ due to the intake/cam/injector changes, but I wasnt sure if I would need an entire ecm or what?  Also, the 2011 800R engine I have has the 650 watt charging system......would that have any impact on it?
