I bought a full set of shock covers for my 2016 outlander max xt 1000. They fit awesome. It's currently at HMF engineering getting the full system and fuel programmer on it.
My question is does anyone have melting issues with the rear shock cover near the exhaust. The HMF guy doing the system told me it will give off a lot more heat than the stock. He said I might want to leave that cover off.
So I'm thinking either cut it so it sits below the exhaust. Or wrap that section of it in heat tape.
Any suggestions?????????!

Yep, mine melted at top. Gonna wrap the entire exhaust pipe.
