I live about 2.5 to 3 hours away. We go up there around 4-6 times a year. Mostly though we ride the Outlaw (Wagon Wheel) trails and sometimes we hit Indian Ridge while we are there.

I usually stay a little closer to Charleston. We ride the waterways trail at Hatfield McCoy quite a bit, but its not as good or as big as the ones down your way. We have a bunch of local trails also, similar to the Wagon Wheel area, just not as big.

i used to live in winfield, between charleston and huntington. where are some good places in the charleston area? do you ever travel up to morgantown? i'm in southwestern pa, about 20 min. from morgantown.

Nate: PM sent! Ill be there!

Stray: I grew up on Red House hill! hahaha I live in Cross Lanes now. I ride around Heiser Creek in Poca which is the closest, but most of the time I ride Ivy out RT119 corridor G. its 13 miles from Charleston. There is also a ton of riding from Cambells Creek/Elkview all the way to Somersville!! That place is huge, and i have only been there a few times, so im not real familiar with it. I have never rode up near morgantown, im usually just up there to "set a couch on fire" after a game! hahaha

Stray,
I forgot a few things. I use to ride alot down Frasiers Bottom above the golf course on rt35, but i havent been there for a long time. I herd rumors that the property sold and they stopped all the riding out there, but i have spoke to some people that say they ride out there. Ill have to do some more checking on that.

I also used to ride between Eleanor and Buffalo behind Putnam county fair grounds, but that property also changed ownership a few years back, so i havent been there in a while either.

How long did you live in Winfield? I graduated from Poca in '98.

Hello, I live and ride in Fayetteville, WV. Trail riding around the New River and the area surrounding. As far as CanAms go, I do my best to keep our seven Outlanders running. Thanks, CBJ.
Only trying to help.

wow, that's so close to where i used to live! small world, huh? i was only there a few years, in the early 90s. my in-laws live right next to winfield high school and i used to live near the pet cemetery. :P from what i've been told, all that has changed since i was there, to accommodate rt 35 running through there. it was rt 34 when i lived there. 98 huh? that makes you 10 yrs younger than me, i graduated here in PA. i drive tractor-trailer for ups and know a guy named jerry from poca, used to meet up with him in elkins. anyway, looking forward to meeting up in may - you'll have to let me know how much things have changed down there! :beerchug1:

btw, just realized the date on your post - sorry it took so long to get back to ya. dunno how i overlooked this post... :riding:

Yeah, that area has changed quite a bit! haha
looking forward to May!

RaftMonster would you happen to know Mike Graves? a buddy of mine that I ride with all the time. He use to be a river guide up there (not sure which company), and still hangs out alot in Fayettville.
If we come down that way and meet up with ya, could you be our tour guide one weekend? Are the trails owned by you all, or is it a free for all?
