I rode the marienville trails once....and that was enough. Beware of radar guns and white ford escapes that partol the trails!!!! Speed limits and SUVs patroling the trails...yeah not for me.

Radar guns? i never saw any speed limits. On the one trail, it seemed it shared with some snowmobile trails but the rest was tight and windy.
My crew usually goes to WV every year but last year we went to the Allegheny. We hit pretty much everything except the trail that is up to the northwest that borders Canada because you had to drive there. We stayed at a campground that had air conditioned rooms for rent and rode right out of the back yard.
Overall, I give the trails a C+. They were nice at times but I was bored out of my mind. Nothing technical, mostly flat. We rode the Warren and Marrienville trails. It's worth going once if it's not too far but will not be going back. Oh, make sure you have a GPS, the trails are marked terribly. The maps they give you are confusing so keep it in your pocket or you'll be the guy who takes the map out every ten minutes and tiks everyone off.
There's always Maine and New Hampshire too.
Give me a PM if you want a nice place to stay.

holiday weekends is when they tend to watch. too many dinks out playing speed racer.....not a great idea when the trail is busier. I liked those trails, but then i rode when my dear old papa in his 70's.
